Hotels of Good Access
THE WESTIN MIYAKO KYOTO   KYOTO HOTEL OKURA

KASUIEN GARDEN:Kyoto city cultural asset(historic landmark) Registere April 1,1944
Kasuien Garden is located at the south end of Kasuien, the hotel's own Japanese Guesthouse.
It was designed and built by Hakuyo(1882-1926)the eldest son of Jihei Ogawa. The garden is peeriess and in
its unique manner incorporates a huge rock face.
The whole area around Kasuien Guesthouse was patterned in 1960 after the garden at Daigo Sanpoin Temple, where Hideyoshi Toyotomi(1537-1598),the founding father of today's Japan, had strong ties.
